Welcome to the Baton Rouge Oracle Users Group Homepage. Our mission is to enable professionals in the greater Baton Rouge area to enhance their Oracle-related knowledge and to provide a forum for information exchange. This is achieved by offering our members the opportunity to attend presentations on ORACLE products, complimentary products, white papers and case studies covering implementation and use of Oracle-related products as well as "best practices" involved.

Feel Like Sharing?: BROUG is looking for volunteers to present at future meetings. If you have experience implementing an Oracle solution and it's something you want to share, we'd love to hear it. It doesn't have to be an experience that was flawless; any problems encountered and lessons learned are welcome. The only ground rules are that the presentation must be Oracle related in some way and must not be a sales pitch. Contact the webmaster to volunteer.

                    Laurent has worked in the last 10 years in major 

                    swiss banks in Swizerland as an Unix/Oracle

                    specialist,  supporting customers in development and

                    administration teams.

                    Laurent owns a dozen of certification from Oracle 8.0                     Certified Professional to Oracle Certified Master,                     inclusive the new Expert certifications in RAC and                     SQL. He is the winner of various sql competitions                     inclusive OpenWorld 2007 SQL Quiz and

                    Developpez.com 2008 SQL Concours. When not                     walking in the Swiss Alps with his family, Laurent                     enjoyes playing Chinese Chess and he is the current                     Swiss Xiangqi Champion since 2005.
